STOW — Planning Board adopts Lower Village Design Guidelines establishing application procedures. Chair Lori Clark and the Board voted unanimously to approve the guidelines, directing Planning Director Valerie Oorthuys to publish documentation on the town website and create rules and regulations with an application form to guide future applicants. The Board also held a public hearing on a mixed-use building with two dwelling units and retail space at 0 Samuel Prescott Drive, where applicants Michael Grosswirth and Gramoz Mema reported 90 percent resolution of peer review comments; the Board closed the hearing and scheduled deliberation for a future meeting.
In separate business, the Board reviewed a draft economic feasibility analysis for a multifamily housing overlay district and identified a bylaw language error stating "maximum" instead of "minimum" for affordable unit requirements, which members agreed to correct during future cleanup.
