Nashoba Regional School Committee Ratifies Three-Year Teachers Contract 10-1

STOW — June 18, 2026 — Nashoba Regional School Committee ratifies a three-year teachers contract 10-1, with a 3 percent annual raise. The committee voted Thursday evening to approve the Unit A memorandum of agreement with the Nashoba Regional Education Association covering July 1, 2026, through June 30, 2029. The sole dissenting vote came from member Lenny, who objected to language allowing 51 percent of faculty to block administration-initiated schedule changes, calling it "the prerogative of the administration" and expressing concern that it set a troubling precedent for future bargaining. Member Scott praised the NREA for "a thoughtful and constructive dialogue" and called the pay settlement "fair given the current economic environment." Chair credited the negotiation subcommittee — including members Matt Knott and Jackie Reiner — and announced that negotiations for Unit C, the district's second bargaining unit, are expected to begin in September.
