The Town of Stow announced that Common Road reopened to one-way traffic on Monday, Nov. 2, 2026, at 10 a.m.

Traffic will travel in one direction, starting from the front of the church and heading toward Library Hill Road. Motorists will be able to exit Common Road onto Library Hill Road.

Construction on Common Road is not yet complete. The town said final paving is expected during the next paving season, giving time for an engineering study to determine the most appropriate long-term traffic pattern for the road.

The town asked motorists, pedestrians and cyclists to exercise caution while traveling through the area during continued work.

Residents with questions can contact the Department of Public Works at 978-897-8071 or by email.
