STOW — Traffic Safety Advisory Committee votes unanimously to refer Common Road two-way traffic request to Select Board. The committee, comprising Chief Michael Sallese, Public Works Director Dan Rowley, Chief Barry Evers, and member Valerie Oorthuys, took the action after multiple prior discussions of the issue. The committee separately discussed an applicant proposal for an additional emergency exit from 46 Walcott Street but deferred action pending review of alternative locations at 45 Walcott and the Walcott-Hudson intersection.

Committee member Oorthuys is applying for a technical assistance grant for a Gleasondale Village traffic safety study and will research a MassDOT solar speed-feedback sign grant program.
