The town's website continues to display a Level 3 Critical Drought designation as its top alert, directing residents to the town's Drought Information webpage for current guidance on water restrictions. Separately, the Crescent Street Sidewalk Project got underway this month, with construction of new sidewalks having begun Thursday, July 2, according to a construction notice posted by the town. The July 2026 Stow Municipal Message newsletter is also now available for residents seeking a fuller rundown of town activities.

Several town boards have meetings on the calendar for later this week, including the Lake Boon Commission, Board of Health, Green Advisory Committee, and Historical Commission, all scheduled for Thursday, July 9.

Longtime Stow resident William E. Cronin III was remembered as "a pillar of the local community" following his passing on July 1, according to an obituary distributed by Sauls Funeral Home. Cronin split his time between Stow and Hampton, New Hampshire, and raised his family in Stow.
