SELECT BOARD VOTES TO RESCIND POLICIES AND PLANS UPDATES

Stow Select Board voted unanimously to rescind obsolete policies and order staff to develop a Capital Stabilization Fund use policy.

Select Board · Meeting of September 22, 2026

Stow Select Board voted unanimously to rescind obsolete policies and order staff to develop a Capital Stabilization Fund use policy. Chair JT Toole and four members approved five formal votes in their September 22 work session on governance, including authorization for Town Administrator Denise Dembkoski to update broken hyperlinks and terminology across policies without individual votes. The Board rescinded the 2008 Performance Review Policy and all Standard Operating Procedure documents, both unanimously.

Staff was directed to develop the Capital Stabilization Fund policy with the Finance Committee. The Board flagged several other policies for revision, including the 2019 Alcohol on Town Property Policy and a new Pompo Room Rental Policy. Discussion of a Comprehensive Plan implementation action plan was deferred to November 10.
