Select Board approves police policies; seeks governor's ratification of October town meeting.

Stow Select Board approves three police department policy updates, including formalized fingerprinting requirements and facility maintenance standards. Chair Megan Birch-McMichael and Board Members JT Toole, Hector Constantzos, and Dan Petersen voted unanimously to adopt revisions to Policies 4.08, 4.12, and new Policy 4.38, with Police Chief Michael Sallese explaining that fingerprinting every three years ensures compliance with Criminal Justice Information Services database rules. The Board also voted unanimously to request the Governor file special legislation retroactively validating the October 27, 2025 Special Town Meeting, which was held eleven days after notice rather than the required fourteen; State Senator James B.
Eldridge and Representative Kate Hogan have committed to signing the support letter. Annual Town Meeting is set for May 9, 2026, Annual Town Election for May 16, 2026, both at Center School, with warrant opening January 13 and closing March 25, 2026. The Board unanimously designated the Town website as the official bulletin board for posting board and committee vacancies.
