STOW — Select Board appoints firefighter, ratifies administrator contract. The board unanimously appointed Aidan Underwood as Firefighter/EMT through June 30, 2026; Fire Chief Barry Evers praised Underwood's performance and predicted a bright future. Members also unanimously approved the 2025 Annual Report after Ingeborg Hegemann requested clarification of language regarding a letter to the state delegation about PFAS remediation for private well owners.
The board unanimously ratified Town Administrator Denise M. Dembkoski's contract for fiscal years 2027 through 2029 without discussion or objection. Hegemann requested the town actively promote 13 open committee vacancies, ranging from associate member positions to fully open committees, to attract new volunteers.
