Planning Board · Meeting of March 3, 2026
Stow Planning Board closes hearing on Hammerhead Lot project at 70 Walcott Street. Applicant's engineer, representing Goldsmith, Prest & Ringwall, Inc., presented revisions including a widened common driveway to accommodate emergency vehicle turning circles, re-labeled three- to four-bedroom homes (with septic systems designed for seven bedrooms), and stormwater basins engineered to contain a 50-year storm event of nearly seven inches of rain over 24 hours. The Board voted 5-0 to close the public hearing and separately agreed to revise the draft driveway covenant to explicitly address snow treatment.
The Board also completed a Comprehensive Plan work plan review, designating Housing Diversity Strategy and Plan, Naturally Occurring Affordable Housing, and Zoning Assessment for Fair Housing as high priorities while removing the Town Wide Traffic Plan from its agenda.
