Lake Boon Commission defers dock prohibition vote to March 18.

Lake Boon Commission · Meeting of March 4, 2026

STOW — Lake Boon Commission defers vote on Basin 4 dock prohibition to March 18. Chairperson Dan Tereau introduced the proposed by-law, which would ban new docks, moorings, and related structures in Basin 4; Clerk Dan Barstow presented research on algae, invasive weeds, and potential impacts from the adjacent Lakemont development. Approximately twelve members of the public commented on water quality, ecological concerns, powerboat access, and deed restrictions.

The Commission voted to delay final action to solicit additional presentations from the Healthy Lake Boon Science Advisory Board, the Lake Boon Association, and both the Hudson and Stow Conservation Commissions.
