Lake Boon Commission · Meeting of May 6, 2026

STOW — Lake Boon Commission finds no Open Meeting Law violation in dock complaint. The Commission, comprising Chairman Dan Tereau, Commissioner/Clerk Dan Barstow, and Commissioner Conray Wharff, voted 3-0 to dismiss the Weiss/Lakemont Dock Committee Complaint filed April 27, determining that challenged emails lacked a quorum or fell within statutory exclusions to "deliberation." Substantive discussion on Rule 7(b) occurred at properly noticed public meetings March 4 and March 18, 2026. The Commission adopted four voluntary compliance practices effective immediately: 72-hour advance notice, exceeding the 48-hour statutory minimum; annual Open Meeting Law training for Commissioners; a Commissioner communications policy; and standing invitation for public input on Rule 7(b).
