Finance Committee approves FY2025 annual report and opens FY2027 budget review

STOW — Finance Committee unanimously approves FY2025 annual report and opens budget review for FY2027. Chair Brian Patuto reported revenues up 2.5 percent while state aid dropped nearly 32 percent, from $800,000 to $550,000; stabilization fund stands at $1,691,393, or 4.86 percent of budget. Town Administrator Denise Dembkoski disclosed the Board of Selectmen ratified her contract at $205,000 for FY2027 and reported health insurance rates rising 8.48 percent after the municipal insurance advisory council eliminated GLP-1 coverage for non-diabetic use.
The preliminary FY2027 budget remains incomplete pending school budget submission and debt schedules from the newly hired treasurer; the five-year capital plan totals $22.4 million in current requests.
