Crescent Street Sidewalk Work Continues Amid Barton Road Closure
Town infrastructure work continues to reshape parts of Stow this week, with a Barton Road closure and new Crescent Street sidewalk construction both underway, according to the town's official notices.

The Select Board's office has posted a road closure notice for Barton Road, directing residents to consult the town website for details on timing and detours. Separately, construction of new sidewalks on Crescent Street began Thursday, July 2, and remains ongoing as part of the town's infrastructure improvement efforts, per the town's News & Calendar page.
Town officials also highlighted the 25th anniversary of Stow's Community Preservation Act program this week, noting a range of projects funded through the Community Preservation Committee over the past quarter-century. Residents can review project details through the town's website. The Community Preservation Committee is scheduled to meet Monday, July 20, followed by meetings of the Traffic Safety Advisory Committee and Planning Board on Tuesday, July 21, and the Zoning Board of Appeals on Thursday, July 23.
Stow also remains under a Level 3 Critical Drought designation, according to an alert posted on the town's website, though no new restrictions were announced in this window.
