Council on Aging Board examines roles and organizational direction

Stow Council on Aging Board examines its governance role and organizational responsibilities. The advisory board reviewed its bylaws and received confirmation from the State that a COA Board is required but not necessarily a standalone office. Director Alyson Toole reported the agency served 430 unduplicated seniors monthly through transportation, health screening, and support services.
Community Preservation Committee liaison Al Arthur reported $1,110,443 in available funding for historical, recreation, or conservation projects. Minuteman Senior Services rates are rising 4 to 8 percent effective January 1, 2026.
