Stow Conservation Commission approves shoreline work at 168 Barton Road. The order requires replacement of two trees removed in the 35-foot wetland buffer, along with stormwater and erosion control conditions. The commission continued hearings on a 26-unit planned conservation development at 33 and 45 Walcott Street and a fire pond treatment proposal at 137 Barton Road to May 19.
Conservation Director Jacquie Goring cited Town Counsel warnings that outstanding oil and hazardous waste contamination at the Walcott property could expose the town to liability if it accepted an open space transfer there.
