Stow backs $522K in capital warrant articles, with West School roof repair approved. The Capital Planning Committee unanimously recommended eight capital items for fiscal 2027, including police department equipment and vehicles totaling $205K, DPW infrastructure projects at $215K, a shared utility terrain vehicle at $52K, and a crosswalk project at $50K. In a concurrent meeting, the Community Preservation Committee approved a $440K West School roof and masonry stabilization project at the 1825 building.

The project includes a 25 percent contingency; design documents are due fall 2026, bids in spring 2027, with construction to follow. A security camera system was withdrawn.
